i found my i pod nano first gen after it being lost for a year and also had to repair the headphone plug but now the click wheel isn't responding. it reacts when i lock or unlock it and charge it (it is now fully charged) but other than that, nothing :/ anyone else out there had similar problems?

I never seen a green 1G Nano.... use this article to help you verify what generation Nano you have.
As to your original issue, work the general 5 R's of troubleshooting to rule out any sort of possibility of a software issue or data corruption that could be casuing this issue.
