Q: oops please help

I went to flamingo land the other day and went on a ride and when we were upside down my ipod slid out of my pocket and crashed to the floor! Now it has a smashed screen, the bottom left corner is squashed up with no glass, the bottom buttn wont work but it will go on to the lockscreen but the touchscreen wont work so i cnat unlock it to connect it to itunes. Is there anyway i can get it working or able to retrieve my documents and pictures? Someone pleasa help!

    - Are you saying that when you connect the iPod to your computer it asks for you to enter the passcode on the iPod?

    - If the iPod is not disabled the a third-party program like PhoneView may be able to access some information on the iPod.

    - If you made/have a backup, you can restore another iOS device that can use iOS 5  and get the date. If yu restore via iTunes, the apps have to be in the in the iTunes library in order for the app date to have a place to go. You can borrow a device and return it after you get the data off the iPod backup

    Yes when i connect my ipod to my computer it asks for my password to be put in on my ipod. If i borrow someones device, how do i get the data off the backup?

    After you restore from backup you get data of the iPod by emailing it or using File Sharing for apps that support it. Depending upon the app, there may be other ways too.
