Can't attach files to Outlook in Safari

In the past couple of days, I have not been able to attach files to new e-mails in Outlook when I use Safari. When I click on the paperclip icon, the upload file window does not appear (this is a popup). This coincides with me deleting my history, cookies, and cache.

I can still attach files in Safari on other computers, and in Firefox on my MacBook. I even deleted my cache.db file after reading another post, but this did not help.

I am using Safari version 5.0.6. and am using Mac OS X version 10.5.8.

Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks.

I have the same problem. I thought I fixed it too, I completley reset safari by clicking on Safari, Reset Safari....worked for a day and now it doesnt work again. Really frustrating especially when drag and drop doesnt work either.

While we all have MacBooks in this forum not all of us use Safari. Many of us use Firefox or Chrome. There's a Safari Support Community where everybody uses Safari. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer. https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/safari

I am having the same problem. The only thing I have found that consistently works is to click rapidly (I use a usb mouse). It isn't the most technical approach but it does the trick. 😉 Hopefully the issue will be resolved for good in the near future.

I am using Safari 6.0.2 and Mac OS X 10.8.2

FYI....Clearing the browser cache and cookies immediately resolved this issue for me.
