Printer Proxy Issues

Hello,

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion (from lion) along with the rest of iAmerica. Since then, whenever I try to print on my HP OfficeJet 4500, the print queue on the printer proxy opens and the icon shows up on my dock but no window opens to show my printer status/jobs/etc. The program runs but I can't get a window to appear in any way.

Or should I say(?), whenever I print something the OfficeJet icon shows up on my dock and "PrinterProxy" appears on the top bar. Usually a window will appear that shows the print jobs and ink levels and gives me the option to stop/resume/and delete jobs. My printer still prints but that window never shows up and I can't get it to in any way

thanks

If you want to do something a little easier than that, I would suggest that you delete the printer and re-add it. You can do this by going to system preferences, then clicking on Print & Scan, and then click the minus button, it will ask you if you want to delete the printer, say yes, and then click the plus button and click your printer, and then add it! This is what I did, and it helped, hope it works!
