Photo Booth Audio and Video not in sync!

I am a YouTube musician. When I go to record I find it easiest to use the video feature in Photo Booth. However, ever since I upgraded to Mountain Lion my audio and video in my videos has been off of one another. They start off together but by the end of the video the audio is ahead of the video. When I went to try and see where it messes up I found that the video jumps frames creating almost a transition effect. I don't know how to fix this and would really like your help!

• If you have not already done so, restart Mac and

try again. If the problem continues,

use Disk Utility to repair permissions. Then

download and apply the latest Combo Update for

your OS. At present, your latest Combo is here:

http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1581

• Repair permissions again immediately following the system restart

that completes the Combo update.

Properly applying the Combo version of updates can sometimes correct software problems, but, if your trouble is caused by a hardware problem, contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.

Mac OSX 10.8.2

EZ Jim,

Thanks for your post. I was experiencing the same problems reported by many here on my new Macbook Air 2012 version with Mountain Lion. I repaired permissions and installed the Combo update you linked to (even though I was supposedly already on 10.8.2) and now the problem is gone. Thanks again for your help!

What it says: the volume you are trying yo update apparently does not meet the minimum system requirements of the combo you are attempting to apply.

(1) Restart your Mac, repair permissions, download a fresh copy of the Update, and apply the update again.

(2) If the error message repeats, perhaps you are trying to use a Combo Update for an OS X version different from the one installed on the system volume you are trying to update. Examples could be that you are trying to apply the 10.8.2 Combo to a Mac running OS X 10.7.x or earlier or to a volume that does not have any OS X version already installed.

If you don't already know, you can find which Mac OS version you are using with your Mac's  > About This Mac menu command:

    User uploaded file

If you cannot find the correct Combo for that version, tell us which OS X shows in the window that opens. Example:  User uploaded file

We can then give you a link to the compatible Combo update.

You're welcome.

Thanks for the clear response! Now for some more ideas:

lylock700 wrote: ... Repair disk permission ( if this is the instruction u were saying) ... when it's done i restarted my mac ...

(1) This is the instruction I posted in the first item of my previous reply. However, It might be important that you restart Mac before repairing permissions, NOT afterward as you write in your response.

Because you will not be able to refer to these instructions while doing the following, you may want to print these suggestions so you can see them while you are performing them:

• Print these instructions if desired.

• Restart your Mac one more time.

• As soon as the Mac restarts, repair permissions again. Do NOT restart Mac again after repair!

• Download a fresh copy of the http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1581 10.8.2 Combo update

Do NOT restart Mac after the download. Immediately try to apply the 10.8.2 Combo.

• If the update works, repair permissions again as soon as the Mac restarts at the end of the update.

(2) If the update does not work when you try the above instructions, use OS X's Recovery feature http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718 to repair your hard drive. Then use your Mac's  > Software Update... menu command to see if the 10.8.2 update is needed. If Software Update...shows your software is up to date, your Mac should work,

If Software Update...shows that the 10.8.2 update should be applied, quit Software Update..., restart Mac, and try reapplying the Combo Update again using these instructions.

(3) If nothing we have suggested gets your Mac working properly, reinstall OS X using the http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718 reinstall directions.

If you are in the USA, Apple's warranty on its Mac hardware is one year:

You can check warranties for other locations or Apple products at

http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/

Waldstein wrote: ...Has Apple announced a update for this problem?

You can check for all announced Apple updates that apply to your Mac by using

your Mac's  > Software Update... menu command. (You must be connected to the internet.)

On the support side of Apple I give my serial number on

and the answer is the warrenty is out of time

I buyed the MacBook Pro in the Apple shop Berlin at 25.08.12 ???

I think my problem is not a hardware problem, I read on the net

that the OSX has a problem with Photo Booth.

Sorry for my bad english
