How can I fix 'Can't Load Visual Basic for Applications' in Word 2011 for Mac?

I would recommend posting on the Office for Mac forums. That's a much better place for getting support with Microsoft Office.

Had the same error message after reinstalling 'Office 2011'. Fixed by deleting 'endnote' and then reinstalling Office.

I fixed this by deleting this file:

/Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office/Startup/Word/linkCreation.dotm

This is an add-in from Adobe that adds a command to launch Adobe Acrobat to Word's File menu. It is completely unnecessary and poorly written so it always breaks as updates happen.

Google "linkCreation.dotm" for more details on the myriad ways Adobe breaks people's Word installations.
