Looking for an external display

Hi everyone,

I am looking for an external display for my late 2011 15" MBP. I regually plug it into an HD TV however doing so increases the computers temperature dramatically. I need something for work/to get that desktop experience. Does anyone know a decent display which would keep my laptop at a reasonable temperature? Or if anyones got some tips for keeping the temperature down when using an external display?
