Q: Why doesn't this Airport Utility 5.6 work with Mountain Lion 10.8?

Tried to install 5.6 and at the select a destinationfor the Air Port Utility 5.6 software was advised that the version of MacOS X (10.8 Mountain Lion) is not supported.  Is there a solution to this problem or has a software update rendered my old Airport Express redundant??
