Don't want to save to iCLoud

Whenever I click save for a document in iWorks, it always brings up iCLoud as the place to save. 90 percent of my stuff I need to save to the computer. iCloud is too volatile anyway for anything anyone wants for sure. I have to change the pain to my documents folder then select the folder within that folder. Is there no way to make a change to this that will do it my way instead of Apple's way.

Also, I have a document that I want both in the cloud and on my computer. I can't trust icloud with this information, I have to have it secure and have it backed up through TM. But, I can't easily save it both to my computer and iCloud. I thought this was supposed to be easy.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4), I actually have 10.8 but its not a

Go to System Preferences, select iCloud, and disable "Documents & Data". Then iWork should no longer offer the iCloud option in the save dialog.

I don't want to put ANYTHING in the cloud. Sorry for being skeptical, but are you sure that you can completely opt out of the cloud with Mountain Lion? I can't find anything definitive on the Apple website. I've also read multiple online reviews of Mountain Lion, but they all assume everyone wants to use the cloud, and so don't address the issue of opting out. Thanks, Elna

Unchecking the Documents & Data box will not let any documents or date to get to iCloud, but other things, contacts, calendars, notes etc. will unless you uncheck those options too.

Of course, if you want nothing to do with iCloud don't enter your account information at all. There's no requirement to do so.

You're confusing me now. All I was trying to say in my first posting was that if you click on the iCloud dialog box, it will dispaly other save to locations.

But, if you don't have the iCloud preference checked, you won't be able to access iCloud at all.

P.S., Having a hard time inserting pictures tonight. I had to switch from Safari to Camino just to get these last pictures inserted.

Yes. I know that, but I thought you didn't. But I now understand that you do.
