why wont my iphone sync my songs from itunes

What are your selections under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?

I have the same problem but in the iphone music library it doesnt give the option to add items...

i put new cd on they appear in itunes but when I sync the phone they dont come over

This is the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes - when your iPhone is connected to iTunes. This is not selected on the iPhone.

Have you never owned or used/synced an iPod?

If so, the process is identical.
