2 screenshots from contacts and ical. Ical data seems ok but calendar names are in "gibberish"
Spencer,
I do not see the screen shots.
Try resolving duplicate fonts with Font Book.
Are you seeing "gibberish" in the iCal window, or the iCloud Web Calendar App? If you are experiencing the problem with iCloud.com, do you see the problem if you use a different browser?
What version of Mac OS X are you using?
That's what my iCloud looks like, too. I have turned off extensions, changed user agents in the Develop window, changed each preference in Safari prefs, reset Safari, and tried other things. Firefox reads iCloud just fine. This happens on both my 2009 Mac Pro running 10.8.1 and my MacBook Air running 10.8.1.
I am having the same issue. I will try Firefox though for now. Would love to hear what the fix is.
Same issue here. Looking forward to hearing a resolution. It's fine in Firefox. Is it a system font issue? Like maybe a font Safari uses is missing? I've seen this issue before.
I am also having this issue. Running OS X 10.8.2, Safari 6.0.1. Will try in Firefox, and look forward to a REAL fix.
Also having the same issue. I tried running a utility called OnyX that was mentioned on another string about this problem (run Cleaning > Fonts > System and Users). This cleared up the font issues on the home page of the iCloud website, but there were still problems with type inside the site (see attached look at Reminders).
Looking forward to a solution.
I guess I don't understand why no one from Apple is helping with this problem? 😟
Okay, I think I found a solution...at least for me. I went into Safari > Preferences > Extensions and disabled AdBlocker. I then rebooted my computer and voila!...problem solved.
Oops. Just checked iCloud again and it's back to gibberish. I guess AdBlock wasn't the problem...
What is the language set to?
What fixed it for me, in general, is to turn off re-activation on startup of fonts in FontPro. Now I have to find out which font is causing the problem; but after several restarts, if no fonts are activated in FontPro, iCloud has no gibberish. It's most likely a font conflict or a past-its-sell-by-date font; perhaps users with other font-organizing apps have the same issue.
I mean FontAgent Pro.
