Dock lights in Mountain Lion
Is there a way to change the size of the dock lights in Mountain Lion? They are a bit small for me to see.
iPad 2, iOS 5

They are just shelf edge lights, larger dock larger lights.
I use my dock on the left side of the screen, one plus is the easier to see 'lights'
Best.

Thanks, Ashka. The left side dock makes it easier to see the lights.
This is the only thing about Mt Lion that I don't like, you can't see the dock lights on the bottom 😟
With Lion & Mountain Lion the Dock indicators are optional. Apple expects the OS to handle open Apps without needing user input.. 🙂
System prefs > Dock..

I don't see them as a user input. They notify you what apps are open. If you can't see them it kind of defeats their whole purpose....
I suppose the question is just why does it matter if an App is open, hibernating or closed?
Same way as the as iPad etc. 🙂 Apple don't think it matters at all..

I suppose my response to Apple would be "if you're going to make a visual feature, then it should work and not be hidden."
i just want lion's dock features back. Guess from now on i will be working with my dock on the left side. if is so hard to see the lights, i don't think this was done intentionally by Apple.
I filed a bug report for the loss of useful functionality. My computer's not an iOS device and this change makes it virtually impossible to readily discern, at a glance, which apps are running. As for why does it matter, it matters because I want a visual way to determine what's going on on my COMPUTER, despite Apple's iOSification of it.

THANK YOU! My feelings exactly. Well said 😉
I'll be filing a bug report on this also.
