HT201322: Hide and unhide iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store purchases

Q: Purchased page empty on iPad. No hidden apps, nothing.

When I go to the App Store on my current gen iPad, there is absolutely nothing on the Purchased page. If I search for an app in the store, it shows either the cloud icon or "installed". I've checked and there are no apps hidden. When I access the app store on my iphone or Mac, everything is as it should be.

I'm having issues with my iPad and have done two DFU Restores. The first time I restored from iCloud and the problems persisted. The second time I was going to redownload apps, but this app store situation prevented it. (I tried at first to find and download apps one by one, but that is just too cumbersome.) So I restored from iTunes backup and have the same corruption. Genius Bar had replaced the device in case it was a hardware problem. The missing purchase history was on both the old and new iPads.

iTunes support is useless, just sending me links to basic support documents that don't address the issue. I want to emphasize that my iTunes account seems perfectly in order when I sign in from other devices.  Oh, yes, my purchased music and video show up. Only the apps are missing and it's all of them, whether they're on the iPad or not, whether they're iphone or iPad apps.

I'm able to purchase new apps, but they also don't appear on the purchased page

Any suggestions?

Other people have been posting the same purchased apps problem over the last few days (it's affected me as well) - I assume that there is a problem at Apple's end which they need to fix.

People are now reporting that the purchased list is now displaying again - mine is also now showing.

Thanks for answering. I just checked and my purchase history is back. I'm disappointed that apple didn't make their support staff aware of the problem so they wouldn't waste everyone's time on useless and frustrating attempts to find a solution. Apple also unnecessarily replaced my iPad.

I have to do yet another DFU Restore (3rd time in less than a month.)
