my ipod shuffle (2nd generation) will not show up in device manager
I have reinstalled Itunes and still cannot find the apple usb port and my computer will not recognize that anything is plugged in.

Are you plugging the iPod Shuffe into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC (if applicable)?
Has this Shuffle previously worked with this PC or is this the first time that you are trying to connect it?
Do you have another USB cable you could use to help rule out a faulty/damaged cable?
If you have any other USB devices, remove them and then reconnect your Shuffle and reset it while still connected if necessary.
