View two documents side-by-side

Is there any way to view two documents/ windows side by side in one window without using any paid third-party app? For example, firefox and texedit.

Resize them and place them next to each other....?

Simply open both documents and reposition the windows to view both.

To do a browser and a document simply open and resize the browser, then open the document. and place beside it...
