log on to time capsule router

Hi

I've bought a wireless camera for home security and part of the setup requires me to "connect with ethernet cable to your router. Log in to router. Click on attached devices and find your camera. Note down ip address assigned. Within router config, find an option that says DMZ and click save. Go to www.whatsmyip.org and note down your internet address".

Problem is, I have no idea how to log onto the router in my Time Capsule (which is in the study but gets its internet feed from a router in the garage via an ethernet cable).

Can anyone help please?

Cheers

Sam

Is the router in the garage the main router?? Or is the TC the main router.. which is bridge?? If both are routers this cannot work. You need just one router.. and using the non-apple one will make life a lot easier.

This stuff..

Within router config, find an option that says DMZ and click save. Go to www.whatsmyip.org and note down your internet address".

That is fine if you have a static public IP.. completely irrelevant without.. you need a dyndns client in the router.. Apple don't have one that the public can use.. only apple.

I don't think it has dmz either.

You log into the TC with airport utility btw.. but don't expect to find what you want.

Tell use exactly what type of internet you have and the actual modem (hopefully combined router) model number.
