stolen IPOD

stolen IPOD

My IPOD 20Gig was stolen out of my truck at work yesterday - won't it be useless to whomever took it or ends up with it unless they like all my music and don't want any of their own? Is there someone at apple that I should report the theft to? Can APPLE tell if someone hooks up my IPOD and tries to use it?

Dan, I'm so sorry this happened. Unfortunately, Apple has no tracking system for stolen iPods. The best thing to do is file a police report.

Sorry to hear this, like you my 4 gb mini was stolen from me at school. Like he said above, the best thing to do is file a police report.

thanks for the reply - that was pretty much what I heard at the apple store in my local mall - I also lost a magellan 360 and a great minolta with some nice lenses - so it was about a 2000 dollar day by my estimates - but the truck (4 month old tacoma prerunner) was untouched, Iam still at a loss as to how the jerk got in - must have one **** of a weak spot somewhere...oh well it was just stuff - but it was my stuff darn it all...thanks again!
