Haven't connected to the store in months

So it's been months since I've been able to connect to itunes/apple to access the store or even update itunes. I've done everything on every forum I've looked at. Uninstall and reinstall(which I deleted everything associated with itunes). I've reset my cache many times. Some forums have said itunes uses IE of which I've removed and reinstalled. Turned on and off firewalls and made exceptions. I know it's not my internet provider or anything between them or me since I can use itunes just fine on my laptop, ipad2, and iphone. It stopped working the time that pretty much everyone had this problem when itunes updated a while back. Unfortunely I haven't been able to fix it and have tried all the simple fixes that everyone had suggested, that had worked for them.
