I have created a simple Pages document on my iPad (contains one letter) and it is 293.4KB on iCloud. If I create a local Pages document on my Mac, it is 33KB on the hard disk. Why are iPad Pages files so huge, especially when space on an iPad or iCloud is at a premium?

I have noticed this as well. I have a document in iCloud containing only five lines of text with the size of 5,4 MB. When thinking about why this is, I realized I created it on my iPad. Much larger texts created on desktop version of Pages take up a fraction of space. No idea why this is though. Anyone any ideas?
