Extend Multiple Networks via one Airport Express station

I use Time Machine as the source of both my personal and my guest wireless network. I just installed Airport Express to extend my network range. However, I can only get it to extend one (personal or guest) not both concurrently. Is there a way to have it support both concurrently?

You can extend the 2.4 GHz "main"network and the 5 GHz "main" network (which you may have named differently) if you have a "new" AirPort Express. If you have an older AirPort Express, it can extend either network, but not both. If you have two AirPort Expresses, then you can configure each "main" network to be extended.

You are confusing main networks with the Guest Network

But if you have enabled the Guest Network feature on the Time Capsule....the Guest Network cannot be extended. You will receive an error message if you try this.

I'm wondering if there is a technical reason this doesn't work, or if Apple just hasn't made this capability a priority. It would be nice to be able to extend the Guest Network; obviously anyone who has a need to extend their main network due to their location, and offers a guest network, would also wish to extend their guest network for when vistitors come.
