Q: I just downloaded mountain lion but I can't see my apple TV on my desktop though I can see it in itunes

I got Mountain lion so I could mirror my iMac on my apple TV. I can't seem to get the icon to come up for me to use this function.

I have 2 apple id's does thi smake a difference?
