I downloaded Lion but it keeps telling me on the App store that it isn't downloaded. But when I check About this Mac is says that Lion is already installed. Now my Safari keeps quitting unexpectedly. It just won't open. Any ideas what is going on?

MacBook Pro (15-inch 2.4/2.2 GHz), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

    Post a crash report...

If Safari has just crashed, press the Report button on the CrashReporter dialog box to view the crash  information.

Copy/paste the entire contents of the Crash Reporter window into your reply. If the crash report dialog does not appear or the crash is hard to reproduce, crash logs can be retrieved from the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter> folder.

Please include the, "binary images" sesction.

Updating to Safari 6 for Lion may help.

Click here >  Safari Quits Every Time Opened: Apple Support Communities

That will automatically download this file >  Safari6Lion.pkg.download

    Now quit Safari.

Go to your Downloads folder and double click that file and follow the instructions for installing.

Then restart your Mac, try Safari.

thank you for the help, I've been on this since yesterday or the day before when trying to "upgrade" to mountain lion. I'll stick with Lion for now.

I had the same problem with Safari 5.1.6 after installing a new internal hard drive with OS 10.7.4. I updated to Safari 6 per your post and Safari seems to be working fine now. Thank you!
