I'm unable to view the DNS cache in OSX Lion 10.7.4:
---
dscacheutil -cachedump -entries Host
Unable to get details from the cache node
---
dscacheutil -configuration
DirectoryService Cache search policy:
/Local/Default
Unable to get details from the cache node
Unable to get cache configuration information
---
dscacheutil -statistics
Unable to get details from the cache node

Does anybody know what the problem is?

Did you ever find a way to get -cachedump to work?
I'd really like to find a way to do this too, and it seems strange that this command should suddenly stop working. So if you or others have a solution - either using dscacheutil or other tools - please share them 🙂
No. I am now using Mountain Lion on a Macbook Air that I backed up from my preivous Black Macbook (which I had been using at the time when I submitted the original post).
The same problem persists.
