App update problem

While trying unsuccessfully to update numbers and letters, both apps are stuck in the waiting state and now the notes app does not function.

Notes will open displaying a blank page then notes will close after 1/2 second. How do I fix this without loss of data?

Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.

Also, make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.

If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

I wound up taking it to the Apple Store. They were able to get notes going again, I'm not sure how but I don't think they don't understand what fixed it either. I was then able to back things up at home and update Pages and Numbers on my PC then Sync my iphone.
