Is there anyway to auto arrange icons?

I went a little crazy with downloadingg apps and need to delete a lot. Is there any way of arranging what ins left automatically when I am done as opposed to manually doing it?

Caveat - I've never had to do this with a sizable number of apps and folders in place, so not sure what it does to the folders.

It should destroy any folder structure, because this resets the home screen to the "out of the box" screen layout......

According to anything that I have ever read about it anyway.

I would assume that's the case. The only time I tried this was when the new IPad was brand new and I beleive I only had a couple of dozen apps downloaded at the time, and no folders set up. Honestly don't remember. I learned to avoid the "hog wild" approach to downloading apps, even free ones, a long time ago. 😁 I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but eventually I DO learn a thing or two.

Tongbú can do this.

It has a feature called "Smart Icons" in its icon manager.

It's actually very extensive the options it gives you. You can even chose to ignore existing folders as well as the first, second and third homescreens.

Even select what categories you want it to use.

I just use it in Sandboxie along with the Run as admin option (which is in sandboxies window). Everything works fine with no ill effects.

This works in all versions of iOS except for 9 as far as I know.

Part of the app is in chinese and i think there is only a windows version but im not sure.
