Can convert .oma file on hard drive to .m4a file that iTunes will import?

I have some .oma music files on my hard drive that were downloaded from Sony's sonicstage. They were moved to my iTunes folder on my hard drive, but when I go to my iTunes library and import them, nothing happens, and the songs do not show up. Can I convert the song files, while they reside on my hard drive, to .m4a files or some other format that iTunes will import?
