Adjusting highlight order of movies in a iDVD menu?

I recently created quite a complex DVD with several different movies and a bunch of chapters for them. After all the hard work, I made the disk and put it into my DVD player. I then discovered that the button that was highlighted to play first was not the main movie but a slideshow. (There are a bunch of buttons the opening menu.)

I did some searching:

and realized that the button highlight order was based on the order that that I dragged the movies into iDVD. As I was under time constraints I decided to redo the project and drag the movies in in the order I wanted. It was very time consuming but anyway, it worked.

I am wondering if anyone has found a simple solution to this? I guess that there is some code that could be hacked within the iDVD program itself or I guess within the .dvdproj file of the movie...

DVD's are not yet dead. It is a real shame Apple is no longer updating iDVD and fixing these little problems.

iDVD's awkward way of dictating the play order of separate videos is okay (for me) because I knew the constraint beforehand. But your problem seems different -- chapters in a single video should show up in the order they were created in the editing program -- you might be able to cut and paste the chapter buttons to change that order (never had a reason to try that), but otherwise the editor sets the order.
