When best to charge MacBook Pro?

Hi, I'm a Mac newbie. Got my first MacBook Pro (2012 release). When is it best to plug the ac power adapter - at what battery percentage or battery time remaining - to maximize the battery life? My practice has been to plug it when there is only about 5-10 minutes remaining on the battery. Is that okay?

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion

You can leave your Macbook plugged in most of the time - Apple suggest you keep it plugged in when you're close to a power outlet....

Once in a while, use it under it's own power and once it's down to 75%, charge it back up to keep the battery in optimal condition...

Never let your macbook battery get to 0%, it will do more harm than good to your battery....

Optional - once a month, use your macbook under it's own power and when it's down to 25%, charge it back up...

Good luck
