Recently (and frequently), my 2010 Mac Pro has been giving me a high pitched sound as well as a red flashing light through the front mesh when I try and start it up.
Some times it takes a few tries to actually get it to turn on.
I did a Disc Utility check and it says that all my drives are okay?
I also ran AppleJack last week and had the noise and light today.
Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
Open the side. Where and what red light are you seeing?
You don't want Aj or even DU, you want OEM DVD and Apple Hardware Test, or actual schedule serivce appt.
