I purchased QT Pro some while ago. I had to uninstall and reinstall now it says that my serial number is inva\lid

I have a PC windows XP pro.

I purchased QT pro I had to uninstall and reinstall. When I now try to register it states that my serial number is invalid.....any clues guys.
