I've lost the ability to clear the cache in Safari on my MacBook Pro - advice please

As far as I can tell I lost the ability to clear the cache in Safari with the most recent update. Advice please & TIA 🙂

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Enable the develop Menu and clear the cache. Safari>Preferences>Advanced>click om Show develop menu in the menu bar.
