Can I install a 3TB drive in my mid-2007 24" iMac?

I'd like to know if I can install a 3TB drive in my mid-2007 24" iMac. The OTW page for this model says that 2TB is the maximum, but I think it was written before 3TB drives became available. Does anyone know if the controller will recognize drives larger than 2TB?

24-inch iMac Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.6.2), 4GB RAM

Hi,

First off it would need to be Serial ATA (3 Gb/s) compatible.

Looks like 4 TB is no problem in my research at OWC...
