How to recover deleted texts

If you have been backing up your iPad, you can restore from backup and the attached link shows that text messages are contained in backup. If you have not been backing up your iPad, then I'm sorry, but you are out of luck.

Yes, rbrylawski is right. When you need to restore your backed up iTunes Library, follow these steps:

When you go through Setup Assistant on a new iOS 5 device, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from.

To check if the restore is complete, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.

Unfortunately, there is no such a thing like trash bin on your iPhone so that you can restore your deleted text messages.

When I do that I press back up on my icloud but messages is not on the list
