Random jittering, space changing, and Launchpad opening problems

Hello Apple Support Communities.

I logged on to my computer one day, and went to Youtube to see some videos.

Then suddenly, my MBP began to jitter and the spaces began to change randomly.

Also, the Launchpad kept on opening and closing so fast, it looked like my MBP was on a suger seizure.

It was so bothersome, I am writing this post in safe mode right now. 😢

Anybody know why this is happening and how to fix this? Is this a virus? (I personally don't think so.)

Sorry if this post is so vague. I just don't know much about this problem.

When you say it was "jittering," does that mean the mouse cursor was moving around randomly in addition to the other things you observed? If so, see My mouse keeps moving around on its own, as if someone is remotely controlling my Mac!

Note that this definitely sounds trackpad-related, since all the behaviors you describe can be invoked from the trackpad, but don't have any other method of being invoked in common (by default, at least).
