Q: iphone 4s apps won't launch

Hi my son as an iPhone 4s which he bought from a colleague. He installed all of his apps on the phone, but they won't work. When you click on an app the screen flashes but nothing else happens. We have tried deleting and rei-installing apps but this has not resolved the problem. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Have you tried to Hard Reboot it? Press down the home button and the sleep/wake button together ignore the "slide to power off" keep holding them... If you see the apple logo, let go and wait for it to boot, after the reboot your back to the ios lockscreen, slide to unlock it and then try to open apps. Hope this helps! :)

If the hard-reboot didn't work i have another solution, if the apps crashed then look for It in the muli-tasking bar double tap the home button until the small bars appears In the buttom then hold the app until it starts to wiggle then tap the minus sign at the top left of the app. (if you want, end them all). If the mulitasking bar is clear, try opening the apps now. Hope this helps :)

There is no such thing as a "hard" or "soft" "reboot" in iPhone termiinology.  What you 'sorta-kinda' described is a phone reset:  Press both the power and home buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

Also, there's no reason to delete the apps on the recently opened bar.  Very few are actually still running and consuming any resources.

If you still have issue, restoring your iPhone would be the solution to fix it for sure, connect it to a computer and restore it using iTunes, it will erase everything and you will be able to get everything working !
