Why did the screen turn pink suddenly?
The screen on my iphone suddenly turned pink. Why did it happen?
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1
How pink did it turn? Mine got pinky but very very hard to see and only on white background.

If it's frozen, you can try holding down both the sleep and home button until it reboots. If you're still having the issue after that, you can try restoring your iPhone with iTunes. It will erase all the data on your iPhone if you restore it.
Could be a hardware issue. Follow this troubleshooting to find out...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. If still a problem restore with your backup.
4. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
5. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Oh, mine was much more pink than yours. I don't have a picture to show, but the screen nearly turned red. I figured I was holding both iPhone and iPod in one hand. I'm not sure if it could lead to the color change, though.
