How do you get the external keyboard to synch with the ipad

You pair the keyboard via Bluetooth. Settings>General>Bluetooth>On. Start with that. The iPad will then be discoverable so that the keyboard can find it.
I don't use a Bluetooth keyboard but you have to turn Bluetooth on in the iPad settings so the two devices can pair. I'm sure that the keyboard must come with some instructions .....
