Aug 9, 2012 2:37 PM in response to DLuerby roaminggnome,The Apple Store will do this for you.
You can call Aple Support and they will help you do it.
You can type " move itunes library from pc to mac" into the google search bar.
I would not use homeshare.

Aug 10, 2012 2:11 PM in response to roaminggnomeby DLuer,I don't have an actual Apple Store close to me unfortunately. I do have a MacMan store which may be able to help. I've done a google search and the best article I have seen so far is this one:
http://www.macworld.com/article/1146958/move_itunes_windows_mac.html
Is that a good way to go about it? If I can't find a good article telling me how I'll have to go see if that store can help.

Aug 10, 2012 2:34 PM in response to DLuerby Chris CA,Transfer all your data, not just your iTunes library.
See this -> About Windows Migration Assistant
"Use Windows Migration Assistant to migrate your files from your old Windows PC (Windows XP SP3 or greater) to your Mac running OS X Lion or Mountain Lion. Migration Assistant automatically transfers your contacts, calendars, and email accounts (and other data) and puts them in the appropriate applications."

Aug 10, 2012 2:46 PM in response to Chris CAby DLuer,Reading that article I have just one concern. In the notes section it says,
"This process will create a new user account on your Mac to contain the Windows PC information that is migrated over. It will not merge the information with an existing user account on your Mac."
I don't want to have two accounts that I have to switch back and forth between. If I do this the first time I start the computer will I be able to have just one account? It gives that option later.

You don't have to switch between accounts. Just use the new account.
If you start up and then add a new, 2nd account with the imported info, you can just use this new account. Either keep the first account as an admin user or delete it.

Yes.
I have two accounts.
One only for admin stuff and another for my regualr, day-to-day use.

Aug 10, 2012 4:58 PM in response to Chris CAby DLuer,The option to import from an old PC will show up when I first start my new Mac? That's what it looked like on that link but I wanted to ask just incase there's something I have to do to have that come up right away. Also will there be a noticeable speed difference between just going over my wireless connection compared to using Ethernet cables plugged into my router?

Yes. Setup Assistant is the first thing to run.
Ethernet will likely be faster but by how much can't tell you.
