Q: How do I lock the screen when talking on the phone?
Whenever I, or anyone else, puts the phone to our ear to talk, the slightest touch of my cheek to the phone/keypad turns on the mute or speaker. I tried touching the on/off button once to lock the keypad, but all it does is shuts the phone off or disconnects the call. What do I do?

Remove any case or screen protector you have on the phone to see if something is blocking the proximity sensor. If removing the case doesn't solve the problem, you may have a bad proximity sensor. In that case, take the phone in for service.
