why wont iWork work?

i recently found some discs for my mac (ilife and iwork). i managed to install ilife successfully but whenever i try and install iwork, the disc makes a funny noise one its in the disk drive and ejects itself, not sure why but if you could help that would be amazing! thanks 🙂
