FaceTime will not verify my apple id

Question

FaceTime will not verify my apple id

Each time I try to sign in with my apple id and password I get a message saying ..... the server encountered an error in processing. please try again later .... well something like this, can't remember the exact words

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

I have the same problem, everytime I try to log into FactTime or iChat it puts me back to the main log in page. It doesnt say it cant verify my email, it just starts to verify, then shoots me back to the main log in page. I seriously have no clue what to do.
