You need to go through Mac OS X 10.6.8. Phone the Apple Store and order a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD.

Adding to Niel's post, the Apple store is 1-800-MY-APPLE. the DVD for Snow Leopard ($30) is usually 10.6.6, which you can install and then go to Software Update to get the 10.6.8 Combo update to install and then go to the Mac App Store to purchase ML.
