When I initially set up my Airport Extreme I enabled a Guest Network; now using Airport Utility 5.6 for Lion all of the Guest Network menus are gone. What happened and how do I now set up a Guest Network?

I regressed from Airport Utility 6.1 to 5.6 in an attempt to setup and control a Guest Network.

No joy. When I search for menu items containing "Guest" I can see that there are supposed to be some, but none are found.

Has something changed or is it a Lion compatibility issue? I want to have a Guest Network which is one reason I bought an Airport Extreme but now it seems impossible to turn it on.

Lion is much more strict about determining whether the AirPort Extreme is connected to a simple modem (which is what is needed to enable the Guest Network feature).

You may have a modem/router combination, so Lion determines that the AirPort Extreme must be configured in Bridge Mode to operate correctly on the network. Unfortunately, the Guest Network cannot be enabled when the AirPort Extreme is in Bridge Mode.

Can you provide the make and model number of your "modem" so we can check that angle?
