When I try to drag songs from my iTunes Library to create a playlist, nothing happens. The title appears to move but it has a 'cancelled circle' icon superimposed on it and nothing happens to the Playlist. It almost looks as if the Playlist is 'greyed out'??

Smart playlist? You can only drag songs onto regular playlists.

I have had this as well, since updating itunes and it is a normal playlist. I have been able to add 2 but all the others I have tried come up with the cancelled circle and it is very frustrating as I used to be able to create playlists and drag whatever I wanted into them!
What are you trying to drag from where to where? Are these items already in the library? If you're dragging in from Windows Explorer it could be a security permissions problem.
