Q: iTunes wont open in a regular window but will open in safe mode. What can I due to open it in a regular window?

I haven't been able to open iTunes since I updated it in march but when I start my pc in safe mode it works. I don't understand it and would like iTunes to work in the regular mode. Quick time works and I did try with a disabled Bonjour. Also uninstalled it and re intalled it and it still wonr work. I am at a loss as to what to do next

In the course of your troubleshooting to date, have you worked through the following document?

yes and it still wont launch in the normal windows. it launches in safe mode but not in the regular windows mode. new account created and still nothing

Doublechecking. Are you starting Windows in Safe mode, or iTunes in Safe mode? (These are two different things.)

I started windows in safe mode then i double clicked on itunes while holding the shift and control key it told me itunes was in safe mode. followed everything to chek if anything was wrong and then restarted my pc in normal mode and itunes wont launh

Okay ... so you started Windows in safe mode and then started iTunes in safe mode.

Restart Windows in normal mode, and then try launching just iTunes in safe mode. What happens then?

(Trying to work out which of the safe modes you've been applyingis having an impact on iTunes launch.)

and then nothing. it wont start at all. it looks like it process it and then no window pops up . i tunes does appear in the task manager in the processis tab but no where else.

Okay. That suggests we might be having some sort of driver error or conflict.

Have you worked through the following documents?
