still cant remove apps from dock

Still can't remove apps from Dock.....

just upgraded to Mountain Lion and discovered that the apps no longer supported / required / superceded (eg ichat, Address Book,iCal, Expose, (no longer supported) Microsoft word, excell and powerpoint) I cant delete from Dock. I have followed instructions from various sources ie drag the app 5cm away from dock and release. (wait for poof) 😁 this only removes the app temp. On reboot the apps re-appear........ Can anyone help....

If you press and hold control and then click on the icon, then hover over "option" then click "remove from dock" this should do the trick

Tried this, only removes the app for that session. After restart the apps re-appear....

Try repairing your permissions. Go to applications then to the "other" folder then go to disk utility, on the left hand side you will see a white box. Select the second option, usually called "mac HD" with that selected click on "repair permissions" in the center towards the bottom of the screen. Wait for it to complete, then see if this fixes the issue. Then try to remove them and restart again.
