I've not experienced any further crashes for two days now.....I dont' want to tempt fate, but I think v6.0.3 has sorted the crashing problem! Fingers crossed!

Now if I could only work out how to block pop-ups (even when I have it checked and Glimmerblocker does nothing!), then Safari would be perfect, but that's for another thread!

I didnt have any crashs after the update. Actually I did first time I started it but it was a different kind. Most problems I had were in Google reader on the Blogger, and these stopped occuring. Keeping my fingers crossed this is fixed

My Phantom Crashes have also stopped since I upgraded to Safari 6.0.4 and installed a few other updates (new Java I think also).  Has not had a crash in weeks.  Looks like the problem is solved, at least for me.

Agreed. The problem has been fixed here (on both Lion and Mountain Lion) since 6.0.4

Mercifully, I haven't experienced the Safari crash since Apple gave us 6.04.

I was thinking about this the other day, that I haven't a dreaded phantom crash in a few weeks, I think, knock on wood.

I'm still experiencing bugs with some websites (without crashes) but as websites get changed so often these days, and not necessarily for the better, it is hard to figure out who's to blame: internet, browser, Java, website, 3rd party elements, ...

Anyhow. Things seem stable now when it comes to opening in new tabs for me as well.
