I use outlook caledar. When I add events to my calendar on my I-phone it won't synch back to my computer. It only synchs items from my computer to my I-phone. Can I make it go both ways?

I recently noticed this on my iPhone 4S. Have no idea how long it's been happening. I have Outlook 2010 on Windows 7. Got my phone last October and never noticed the problem until tonight. Fortunately I put events on my Outlook calendar more often than I put them on my iPhone calendar. Still, I'd like to know if there's a fix for this.

If you're using iCloud it should sync back and forth. Make sure Calendar is enabled in the iCloud Control Panel and make sure your created events on the iCloud calendar in Outlook.

Hi, Im having the same problem my iphone will sync anything thats been added in outlook but not the other way....bit frustrated

Make sure the default calendar on your phone (in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar) is your Outlook calendar and not, for example, the calendar listed under On My iPhone.

Ive also created a new calendar on my iphone called 'new' which I though should appear in Outlook? needless to say it doesnt, am i doing something wrong?

Assuming you're syncing with iTunes (and not iCloud), you may want to try resetting your sync history, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692.

Probably about to make myself look really silly, so here goes…How do I know if Im syncing with iCloud or iTunes and how can I make Outlook just sync with iCloud. Ive set my phone to iCloud (Although under my iPhone settings (mail, contacts, calendars) the Default Calendar is 'Calendar', with no 'iCloud' facility as there is in Contacts?

As long as you have Calendars enabled under Settings > iCloud then you should be loading up to iCloud.

Open your Calendar app and select "Calendars" in the top left corner, in this menu make sure that default calendar named "Calendar" is listed underneath "iCloud" as oppposed to "On this iPhone".

If it is, then you're golden. Double check by adding an event to your Calendar app and then log into www.icloud.com and see if the event appears in the Calendar on the website. 😀

And to keep your Outlook from syncing using iTunes, just make sure when you connect your iPhone to the computer, when it shows you the device.... in the "Info" tab, you want to make sure Calendars is not selected. It doesn't need to be selected because iCloud is doing the work now.
