Same HP printer update keeps appearing in Mountain Lion.

What if you delete the /Library/Printers/hp folder and then reinstall once?

I should have added that you were looking in the wrong folder. The folder you're looking at is where the printing apps ("proxies") are kept.

I also having the same problem, the update 2.10 keeps appearing on my Mac App Store update.

How to fix it?

Delete /Library/Printers/hp and reinstall the update once.

I don't have hp folder there, inside Printers folder is an application with my printer's name (HP Laserjet.....)

You're looking in the wrong folder. You're looking in ~/LIbrary/Printers. In Finder, use the Go->Go to Folder… menu and paste in /Library/Printers/

So I went to my library folder, then printer, and then deleted the HP folder.

I then re-installed the update from the app store. Upon finishing the installation, I then restarted my Mac Mini (running Mountain Lion) and the update still shows up.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

You're not the only one it's happening to. If it's causing an issue (like it's not actually installing properly) we can figure out how to get it working. If it is working and you're just annoyed that it's still in the list, I think the best thing to do is just ignore it for now until it's fixed.

Is the printer working okay?

The printer is working fine, it is just annoying, just like how the google calendar wont sync with ical. It says it can not connect with Google.com.

Delete the hp folder again and install the drivers from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907.

I have an Epson Artison 810, and since Mountain Lion was installed, my iMac (when waking from sleep or rebooting) keeps asking me if I'd like to download an update for this printer. If I click Yes, I'm taken to the App Store, where, after waiting WAY too long, it tells me my system's up to date, and that no updates are available.

I have the same problem on my iMac (running 10.8.2), where each time I log in or reboot, the printer update message appears (Brother 2400 series). If I try to update, it takes me through the app store and searches for about a minute then tells me this software is up to date. I have found no way to remove this annoying message. Very frustrating...

I have this problem with my two HP printers. And for one of them, when I try to install the update, Apple can't find the update. So I dare not delete the HP subfolder of the Library. I could end up without the use of the printer.
