OS X Mountain Lion Hibernation Issue - SSD

Recently upgarded to mountain lion from snow lepard and having issues with 2008 macbook 5,1 waking from hibernation. the system freezes when attemping to wake from sleep - The system is not stock. I upgraded the HD to SSD and ram to 8GB... the system was fully functional on snow leopard and had no issues with hibernation.

I have tried the following with no luck...

  • clean installed OS X
  • adjsuted power saving settings - disabling the hard drive sleep option
  • updated hibernatemode to 0, 3, and 25
  • created new profile

Has anyone else run into this issue ? - this is very furstrating and I do not want to downgrade to snow leopard.
